Window Tint Warranty & Installation Policy

Window Tint Warranty & Installation Policy | Flying Window Tinting

Lifetime Window Tint Warranty

At Flying Window Tinting, our window film products are backed by a manufacturer-supported window tint warranty that protects against defects in the film material. This warranty covers issues that may occur due to a manufacturing defect.

What's Covered

  • Bubbling or peeling of the film
  • Cracking from a manufacturing defect
  • Fading or discoloration due to the film itself
  • Valid as long as the original vehicle owner keeps the vehicle

What's NOT Covered

  • Pre-existing glass defects or paint damage
  • Other unrelated vehicle conditions
  • Warranty does not transfer if the vehicle is sold
Replacement Policy: If a window tint warranty replacement is necessary, Flying Window Tinting will reinstall the same film series and shade originally selected. Substitutions are not permitted unless the original film is no longer available.

Vehicle owners are responsible for ensuring that their window tint selections comply with state and local window tint laws where the vehicle is registered.

Any tint installation that does not meet applicable regulations — including windshield tint or illegal visible light transmission (VLT) levels — may not qualify for coverage under the manufacturer's window tint warranty.

Note: It is the vehicle owner's sole responsibility to verify VLT compliance in their state. Non-compliant tint will not be covered under warranty.

Limitations of Window Tint Adhesion

Certain areas of automotive glass can prevent perfect adhesion of window film. Because window film must make full contact with the glass surface to adhere properly, these areas may not allow perfect bonding. These conditions are considered normal installation limitations and are not covered under the window tint warranty.

Areas Affected

  • Dot matrix patterns along the edges of windows
  • Raised line matrix sections
  • Thick rear defroster lines
Incomplete bonding in these areas is expected and does not constitute a defect under the window tint installation warranty.

Optional No-Fault Window Tint Warranty

Additional Day-to-Day Protection

Flying Window Tinting may offer an optional No-Fault Window Tint Warranty for additional protection. This coverage must be purchased at the time of service and cannot be added after the installation is complete.

Coverage lasts as long as the original owner keeps the vehicle and is not transferable if the vehicle is sold. If repairs are required, the same film series and shade originally installed will be used.

✔ Covered Damage

  • Scratches
  • Tears & nicks
  • Damage caused by broken glass

✖ Not Covered

  • Windshield tint
  • Dissatisfaction with tint shade chosen
  • Glass or manufacturer defects unrelated to film
Chargeback Void Policy: If a chargeback or payment dispute occurs for the original service, all warranty coverage — including the manufacturer warranty and No-Fault protection — will be immediately voided.

Rear Defroster Disclaimer

Although every precaution is taken during window tint installation, Flying Window Tinting cannot guarantee the condition of rear window defroster lines. These lines can be delicate and may be affected during the tinting process.

Owner Responsibility: If the defroster grid becomes damaged, any repairs required will be the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. No allowances for defroster repair costs will be accepted.

How to Care for Window Tint

Proper maintenance helps extend the life of your tint and ensures your window tint warranty remains valid. Using a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaner will help maintain the appearance and durability of the film.

🚫

No Abrasive Brushes

Avoid rough bristle brushes or scrubbing tools on the film surface.

⚗️

No Harsh Chemicals

Do not use acidic cleaners or products containing heavy ammonia.

🧽

Soft Cloth Only

A soft microfiber cloth with a non-abrasive cleaner is recommended.

Tint-Safe Products

Use mild, tint-safe solutions to preserve appearance and durability.
